1989   Emergent Technologies, Inc. founded as a services company.

1999   Fund I created - Emergent-OU, Ltd.

2002   Fund II was the focus - Emergent Technologies Oklahoma, L.P.

2003   Fund III had its initial close - WesTech Ventures I, L.P.

2005   Fund IV was launched - Emergent Technologies Fund IV, L.P.

Fund I and Fund II are exclusively focused on technologies licensed from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC.) The aggregate funds have 7 portfolio companies.

Fund III is focused on technologies licensed from Texas Tech University research institutions and other entities in the Lubbock, Panhandle, and West Texas regions of Texas. The fund has 3 portfolio companies.

Fund IV focuses on private equity and equity-related investments in companies formed to commercialize technologies primarily created, developed and/or owned by the University of Texas or related to or synergistic with UT technologies.
